Albamar & William Cole

About the Winery

William Cole Vineyards lies deep within Chile’s prestigious Casablanca Valley—often called “Chile’s Burgundy.” This cool climate vineyard near the coast, which is comprised of over 129 contiguous hectares, provides a long, warm growing season with cool nights to develop excellent acidity. Owned by the Martin Weinstein family, the winery specializes in cool climate varieties, and the wines are crisp, clean and complex. The winery’s primary line is Albamar (foggy sunrise over the ocean). The wines are made almost exclusively from their own (estate) fruit which is rare for the Albamar price point.

THE WINES
Albamar pays homage to the Casablanca Valley’s foggy sunrise and the cooling breezes of the ocean.

Albamar Sauvignon Blanc / $13.00 SRP
Excellent fresh fruit character and
flavors of Meyer lemon and crisp apple.
It is bone dry and very food friendly.

Albamar Chardonnay / $13.00 SRP
This wine displays crispness with integrated
flavors of pear and peach. Sleek and focused,
it is a refreshing wine with medium weight
and a touch of minerality.

Albamar Pinot Noir / $13.00 SRP
Light-bodied, with flavors of cherry and ripe
raspberry. Silky tannins on the finish. Perfect
for lighter meals and tomato-based sauces.

Albamar Carmenere / $13.00 SRP
Intense ruby color, black fruit on the nose
with spices and black pepper. Silky and lengthy
on the palate, pairs well with cheeses,
stews and grilled meats.

Albamar Cabernet Sauvignon / $13.00 SRP
Ruby red color with bright violet tints. The
nose suggests bitter chocolate, black fruit
and menthol which blend perfectly with a smooth
texture. 12 months in French oak provides hints
of toasted vanilla and pleasant minerality.
It is a full-bodied Cabernet with a long,
persistent finish, elegant tannins and balanced acidity.
